Event Description

Do you feel as though you’re in the midst of a storm? In today's culture of hustle and hurry, we often push prayer to the margins of our busy to-do lists, leaving us dry and burned out. But what if you could hear from God directly, just as you would from a close friend? Do you ever wonder if he really wants to hear from you? Shouldn’t our first priority be to learn how to hear Him?

Catholic Spirituality is what it really means to have a personal relationship with God. Therefore, this August, Fullness of Truth invites you to their exciting 18th Annual Catholic Family Summer Conference titled “The Heart of the Matter: Unleashing the Power of Catholic Spirituality,” at the newly-renovated Hyatt Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas, August 16th – 18th, 2024.

Renown speakers include: BISHOP GARY JANAK (Auxiliary Bishop, Archdiocese of San Antonio); FATHER DONALD CALLOWAY (wildly popular “surfer priest” and prolific author); DEACON HAROLD BURKE-SIVERS (“The Dynamic Deacon” and author); PAUL J. KIM (crowd-favorite comedian and musician); DAN & STEPHANIE BURKE (Avila Institute founders, EWTN hosts and authors); SONJA CORBITT (spunky Catholic convert evangelist and author); and FR. KEN GERACI (Missionary Preacher and deliverance ministry). This awesome weekend event kicks off right with a Friday evening Family Fun Night & Catholic Illusionist Show, featuring Giancarlo Bernini. The weekend features an engaging Saturday Youth Track, and an intimate Saturday evening with FATHER DONALD CALLOWAY at our Annual Benefit Dinner (click here for more details).

There are few things more wondrous than the Catholic spiritual tradition. It is like an Aladdin’s cave, full of beauty and richness that we can scarcely comprehend. And yet so many of us are scarcely aware of this treasure-trove or, if we are aware, we are too busy or too uninterested to enter.

All of us want a deeper, more intimate relationship with the Lord. Bishop Gary Janak

Father Janak was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Victoria on May 14, 1988. He later earned his Licentiate in Canonical Jurisprudence (JCL) from The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. in 1995; his master's degree in Counseling from the University of Victoria-Houston in 1997, and has been licensed by the state of Texas as a professional counselor supervisor since 2000.

In addition to his parish and chancery ministry, Father Janak has served on a number of occasions since 1988 at a mission in Nicaragua and with the Faith in Practice Medical Mission team in Guatemala. Father Janak also has a keen interest in assisting married couples and has been a presenting priest for the Retrouvaille ministry since 2006. He also designed a marriage retreat for couples entitled Choosing to Live Our Vows Everyday. In 2016, he assisted in the founding of The Emmaus Center, a diocesan-sponsored counseling and spiritual direction center, where he practices professional and pastoral counseling.

Fr. Donald Calloway

Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC, is Vicar Provincial and Vocation Director for the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception. He is the author of 15 books, including Consecration to St. Joseph: The Wonders of Our Spiritual Father. He is a well-known conference speaker on Divine Mercy, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and St. Joseph, and speaks passionately about these topics in his moving conversion story. He leads pilgrimages to Catholic shrines around the world and resides at the Marian House of Studies in Steubenville, Ohio.

Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC, a convert to Catholicism, is a member of the Congregation of Marian Fathers
of the Immaculate Conception. Before his conversion to Catholicism, he was a high school dropout who
had been kicked out of a foreign country, institutionalized twice, and thrown in jail multiple times. After
his radical conversion he earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Theology from the Franciscan University of
Steubenville, M.Div. and S.T.B. degrees from the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC, and
an S.T.L. in Mariology from the International Marian Research Institute in Dayton, Ohio.

Deacon Harold
Burke-Sivers

Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers is an internationally renowned speaker, author, and preacher. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame, and a Master of Theological Studies Degree from the University of Dallas. He has appeared as a guest on numerous international Catholic radio and television programs, and is the host or co-host of several popular series on the Eternal Word Television Network.

He is a member of the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars and the Confraternity of Catholic Clergy. Deacon Harold is the award-winning author of five books, including Behold the Man: A Catholic Vision of Male Spirituality and Building a Civilization of Love: A Catholic Response to Racism.

Dan & Stephanie Burke

Stephanie and Dan Burke co-host the popular weekly Divine Intimacy Radio program. Together they serve as servant leaders of the Avila Foundation and the community of Apostoli Viae. Dan and Stephanie have four children and one grandchild.

Sonja Corbitt

Sonja Corbitt is the Catholic Evangelista and creator of the LOVE the Word® Bible study and prayer method. Drawing on decades of experience and training at the Holy Apostles College and Seminary; Catholic Psychotherapy Association; NICABM; Compassionate Inquiry; Encounter School of Ministry; JPII Healing Center Ministry Training; and Unbound®, Sonja teaches through Scripture how to feel better and how to be better.

The author of Unleashed, Fearless, Ignite, Fulfilled, How to Pray Like Mary, Exalted, and Just Rest, her weekly television and radio shows and other Bible study resources help busy Christians to experience God and heal through the Scriptures within the mind and heart of the Church.

Paul J. Kim

Paul Kim is one of the most sought-after Catholic youth and young adult speakers in America. The way he presents is a rare gift to witness and has impacted people of all ages in 48 states and in 16 countries over the past decade. Moving his audiences from laughter in one moment, to deep reflection and prayer in another; Paul utilizes his many talents (i.e. music – beatboxing, comedy, inspirational talks) to communicate the Gospel message of Christ to people in a way that is engaging, entertaining, and altogether life-changing.

Dave Moore

Dave Moore is a joy filled disciple who seeks to honor God through his music, ministry, and family. A devoted Singer-songwriter, producer, and liturgist, Dave puts the bride of Christ before his artistic ambitions.

Dave and his wife Lauren are the founders of Catholic Music Initiative, a non-profit apostolate that creates beautiful and singable music for Mass. Their work strives to build a bridge between contemporary and traditional isles, while summoning engagement and enlivening the hearts of the faithful to enter into full union with God in the Mass.

At the invitation of Bishop Edward Burns, Dave was instrumental in the strategic execution of the Diocese of Dallas televised Mass—a ministry that was born as a response to the global pandemic, and continues to bear much fruit for the people in North Texas and beyond.

Dave’s deepest desire is to see a unified church, where the Eucharistic Lord has primacy of place in the hearts of the faithful, rightly honored, adored, and worshiped. Dave resides in Dallas, Texas with his wife, Lauren, and their daughter.

Lauren Moore

CIO and Founder of Catholic Music Initiative

Lauren Moore, is a wife and mother who seeks to inspire God’s people through beautiful music that orients people to God.

Alongside her husband Dave, Lauren founded the Catholic Music Initiative and has sung and directed on over a thousand recordings since the ministry's genesis.

Lauren studied vocal performance at Texas A&M Corpus Christi and The University of Texas at Austin. She has performed in many parts of the world, namely Germany and Austria. Lauren loves to sing opera, but more recently has enjoyed singing sacred chant. She currently sings and arranges chant for CMI’s partnership with the Hallow app.

At the invitation of Bishop Edward Burns, Lauren serves as the Cantor for Diocese of Dallas Televised Mass; a Mass that reached over 200,000 households a week during the pandemic, and continues to bless people in North Texas and beyond.

Fr. Ken Geraci

Fr. Ken Geraci, lived the life of the prodigal son for most of his young adult life. Raised in a nominal Catholic family, who only lived the externals of the faith, Fr. Ken left the Catholic Church for many years. During that time he worked as a business professional in Advanced R&D and software testing; a few years into his career he joined a few of his co-workers in establishing a 4.5M Internet software company. Focused on money, fitness and success, he made little room for God; but God did not give up on him.

During this journey, God presented him with challenges that forced him to question his personal beliefs and the question “What is Truth?” Through a series of conversions, years of struggle, study and questioning, Fr. Ken found his way from agnosticism, to non-denomination Christianity and ultimately back to the Catholic Church.

Fr. Ken joined the Fathers of Mercy in 2006 and was ordained in 2012. Having lived a secular existence, Fr. Ken has a great understanding of the personal and societal pressures that individuals face and knows what it is like to “hate coming to church.” This mission is for people of all ages and levels of faith, from those who are madly in love with Jesus, to those who pretty much cannot stand church or religion.

Giancarlo Berinini

Using the art of illusion, Giancarlo shares a unique perspective on faith and what it means to seek Truth. His Catholic faith, BA in Religious Studies, and love of apologetics have allowed him to create a program tailored to Catholic audiences.

Attentive to the needs of the Church today, Giancarlo has crafted a show designed to entertain audiences while inspiring them to seek God through the sacraments of the Church and to wholeheartedly pursue their call to sainthood.
