Dan attended the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio and then completed a Family Medicine Residency in Corpus Christi.  After several years serving as Medical Director of Emergency Departments in San Antonio and Corpus Christi, he transitioned into an executive role with Christus Health and subsequently with Optum Health.  He is currently Medical Director of Driscoll Health Plan and serves on the Nueces County Medical Society Board.

Roxie graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with her B.S. in Nursing.  She then received her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio and stayed to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.  After 19 years in private practice in Corpus Christi, she transitioned into an OB/Gyn hospitalist role and has served the community of South Texas for the past five years.  Roxie is also the owner and Medical Director of Doucet Med Spa, providing an extensive array of aesthetic services for almost 20 years.

Dan and Roxie live in Corpus Christi, have been married for over 30 years, and have four children.  They are actively involved in the Church including serving as Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre, Knights of Columbus, and Catholic Medical Association.
